Trinidad San Miguel will serve as a discussant at the American Education Research Association Conference in San Francisco.  He will comment on three action research papers conducted by Texas State University students. Dr. San Miguel is a lecturer in the Department of Counseling, Leadership, Adult Education and School Psychology.

Peter Turner has been featured on the Discovery Channel, the Food Network, the Travel Channel, in several music videos, films and a national television commercial.  Turner is a lecturer of beginning recreational country dance in the Department of Health and Human Performance.

Britney K. Webb, M.Ed, LAT, ATC will be receiving the 2013 Southwestern Athletic Trainers Association (SWATA) Eddie Wojecki Award in July. This award is given annually to an athletic trainer who has made outstanding contributions to the SWATA within the past two years. She also holds appointments for Texas State Athletic Trainers Association (TSATA) as appointed Parliamentarian and TSATA instructor for the Sports Medicine 1, 2, 3, and UPDATE courses for Texas high school athletic trainers. Britney is a senior lecturer and clinical site coordinator for the division of Athletic Training in the Health and Human Performance Department in the College of Education.
 
 

Thomas

Allie Thomas MSRLS, CTRS recently presented Social Inclusion Through Adapted Sport at the Texas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Institute in Galveston . Thomas was also recently elected to the Therapeutic Recreation Branch Board for the Texas Recreation and Parks Society as the Vice-President. Finally, Thomas annually puts on a service learning opportunity for Texas State and the surrounding community called the Texas Classic where wheelchair basketball athletes in three divisions come from around the country to participate in a three day tournament. The divisions include prep teams, wounded warriors and division II and III athletes. Thomas is a senior lecturer in the Health and Human Performance Department, Recreation Division in the College of Education.
